About this tool
This tool creates a made-up person for testing forms, writing fiction or filling demo data. Each press of Generate gives a name, gender, birthday, blood type, email, phone number and a US-style street address with city, state and ZIP code. You can choose Male, Female or Any. Values are picked at random from small built-in lists, so names and cities repeat often, and the birthday falls between 1960 and 2004. The details are invented and are not real records. Everything is made in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
How to use it
- Pick Any, Male or Female in the Gender selector.
- Press Generate.
- Press Copy to take the details, or Generate again for a new persona.
What each field contains
- Name
- A first name from a list of 10 male or 10 female names and a surname from a list of 12, so repeats are common.
- Birthday
- A date between 1960 and 2004. The day is always 1 to 28, so it is valid in every month.
- first.last at example.com, example.org, example.net or inbox.test. These domains are reserved for examples, so no message can reach a real person.
- Phone
- A US-style number in the 555-0100 to 555-0199 range, which is set aside for fictional use. The area code is random and not checked against real ones.
- Address
- A house number from 1 to 9999 on a street from a short list, with a city, state and 5-digit ZIP picked separately. The city, state and ZIP do not match each other.
Safer test data
The email domains and phone numbers this tool uses are reserved for examples, so a test that sends mail or makes a call cannot reach a real person. Names and street addresses are random and can match real ones by chance.
- If a form checks that the ZIP code matches the city or state, replace the generated ZIP with a real one for that city.
- If your test needs mail to actually arrive, use an inbox you control instead of the generated address.
Fine uses and uses to avoid
A fake identity is useful for filling sign-up forms while you build them, demo screenshots, sample database rows, game characters and fiction. It should not be used to open real accounts, pass identity checks or pretend to be someone, which can break a service's terms and in many places the law.
Common problems
- Data fails validation in a form
- The address, ZIP code, phone and email are made up and not checked against real formats beyond a US style. Replace values that a form rejects.
- Email addresses may belong to real services
- The domains are example.com, example.org, example.net and inbox.test, which are reserved and never deliver mail. Do not use them for real sign-ups.
- Not for fraud or impersonation
- The identity is fictional and must not be used to deceive anyone or bypass account rules.
Frequently asked questions
Is the generated person real?
No. Each value is picked at random from built-in lists. A name may match a real person by chance, but the full set of details is invented.
Can I choose another country or generate many identities at once?
Not yet. Each press of Generate gives one US-style persona. Press it again for another.
Does the generator store or send what it creates?
No. The persona is made in your browser and is not sent to a server.
