About this tool

A published Google Tag Manager container is a public script at googletagmanager.com. Enter a GTM- ID (or paste a link containing it) and our server fetches that script and reads its static tag data: the published version, a count of each tag type (GA4, Google Ads, Floodlight, Meta, LinkedIn, custom templates, custom HTML and so on), and the measurement, conversion and pixel IDs configured inside. Nothing in the container is executed. Triggers, variables and firing rules are not decoded, and server-side containers do not appear, so treat it as an inventory, not a full audit. Find the container ID first with the Analytics Tag Finder.

How to use it

  1. Enter a container ID such as GTM-ABC1234, or paste a URL that contains it.
  2. Press Inspect container.
  3. Review the tag-type counts and the IDs found inside the tags.
  4. Look closely at custom HTML tags, since they can load any third-party script.

Common problems

No published container was found
Check the ID for typos. A container that was never published, or was deleted, has no public script.
Some tags I expect are missing
Tags that fire from a server-side container, or are added in an unpublished workspace, are not in the public script.
A tag type shows as a code like __cvt_123
That is a custom template from the Tag Manager gallery or built by the site owner, so there is no standard name for it.
