About this tool

A watermark labels a picture with your name, site or logo. Type the text or add a logo picture, choose where it goes, from nine positions to repeated across the whole picture, and adjust colour, size, opacity, rotation and margin while watching the preview. The size is a percentage of the picture's width, so the mark looks the same on small and large pictures, and the file you download is the full-size picture rather than the preview. A light shadow keeps white text readable on bright areas. Choose PNG to keep quality or JPG for a smaller file. Please be realistic about what a watermark does: a visible mark discourages casual copying and shows where a picture came from, but it can be cropped out, painted over or removed by software, particularly in a corner. Tiled or centred marks are harder to remove. We tested the placement geometry for all nine positions and tiling coverage, and checked in a browser that the marked area changes and the rest of the picture stays identical. The picture is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Drop a picture.
  2. Type your text or add a logo.
  3. Choose the position, size, opacity and rotation.
  4. Download the watermarked picture.

Common problems

My logo has a white box
Use a PNG or WebP logo with a transparent background; JPG logos always have a solid background.
The mark is hard to see
Raise the opacity or size, change the colour, or place it over a quieter part of the picture.
The picture is too large
Pictures over 6000 pixels on a side are refused to protect your browser. Make the picture smaller first.
